21.5.2010 vznikla internetová petice požadující, aby v případě rasově motivovaných kriminálních činů bylo posuzováno všem stejně, tedy Romům i neromům. Během dvou dnů ji podepsalo na 2600 lidí (a do dneška další tisíce), přesto si ji "neodvolatelný" Zmocněnec vlády pro lidská práva Michael Kocáb odmítl převzít. Práva některých jsou mu zřejmě milejší, tedy spíš jeho prospěch z nich. Odkaz na petici, možnost podepsat i další informace naleznete "zde":http://chcemestejnymetr.cz/ Jenom dodávám, že tento princip by se měl fungovat ve vztahu ke všem menšinám, nikoli pouze Romům, i když zde patří situace ke dlouhodobě nejhorším.
